Since 1995, Steve Hughes has been listening to people he meets in bars as they talk about their lives. In his search of some sort of truth, he gathers their stories of triumph and tragedy, of ridiculous debauch, and the sad beauty of bad decisions. He writes these stories as if they are being spoken from the barstool next to you then publishes them in Stupor. Each issue is designed by a different local artist in a unique collaboration that depicts a place and its people like other publication of its era.
